I've followed Dinah Lance since she got thrown together with my idol Oracle in Birds of Prey. I wouldn't say she's one of my favorite characters to read about (so. Much. MAN DRAMA), but damn do I ever love to draw her. I was really geeked to be asked to draw this for another Black Canary fan for a Christmas surprise.
This is the first finished picture on a new brand of cardstock I had to pick up when I ran out of the old stuff (which is no longer available). It gives a bit more grainy feel overall, which I really like especially on comic book related stuff. It looks very much like a scanned page printed on newsprint  Ink & prismacolor marker on 8.5x11" cardstock. Black Canary (c) DC Comics, art (c) myself. |
