I've followed Dinah Lance since she got thrown together with my idol Oracle in Birds of Prey. I wouldn't say she's one of my favorite characters to read about (so. Much. MAN DRAMA), but damn do I ever love to draw her. I was really geeked to be asked to draw this for another Black Canary fan for a Christmas surprise.
This is the first finished picture on a new brand of cardstock I had to pick up when I ran out of the old stuff (which is no longer available). It gives a bit more grainy feel overall, which I really like especially on comic book related stuff. It looks very much like a scanned page printed on newsprint
Ink & prismacolor marker on 8.5x11" cardstock. Black Canary (c) DC Comics, art (c) myself.
One of my favorites, especially since it hangs on my wall. Was a awesome surprise, and I thank you so much for doing it. Looks great next to my Michael Turner Supergirl poster. Loved everything about it, and am very glad to have it hanging on my wall. Thanks again and keep up the awesome work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
